From the time we first awake
Till we fall into endless slumber
We are taught that the all mighty dollar
Is our only god

Yet, the attainment of
Love Of self and of all Others
Love of life, Nature, and the Universe
Is the only path to Happiness

In the end we are alone
In a small room where
Others feed us and clean us
And see to our needs

With no one to hold our hand
To share a tale or a tear
To lie naked next to us
Where no amount of money

Will fill the void left
By the absence of love
